What could be more romantic than a private wedding at a Smoky Mountain Bed & Breakfast?
We will be very happy to show you the inn and the various places on the grounds that are appropriate for weddings. In the past, popular locations have included the side yard, the garden, and the front yard under the willow tree. In the event of inclement weather, it is very easy to rearrange the parlor and hold the wedding indoors.
Accommodations The inn has 10 guest rooms each with private bath; only 2 of the rooms will accommodate 3 people, the remaining 8 sleep 2 people. If you will have more than 22 guests, we can assist you with making arrangements for the overflow. Entire-inn events, such as weddings, require a 2 night minimum stay.
Fees We offer a 10% discount to rent the entire house which will allows the exclusive use of the 10 guest rooms and all common areas and grounds. We charge an event fee of $700 for a wedding and a housekeeping gratuity of $40 per day. The only other charges are for meals other than breakfast.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy We require a deposit of $1,000 to reserve the inn. In the event that you must cancel, there is a $100 cancellation fee if you cancel at least 60 days in advance, $500 cancellation fee if you cancel 30 days in advance. If you cancel less than 14 days before the scheduled arrival date, we will have to charge you the full amount for the inn rental (less the deposit).
Food Service If you wish to have the wedding dinner or other meals at the inn, we will be happy to work with you to develop a specific menu. We also charge a 20% gratuity for the servers. We cannot sell you alcohol but you may bring it and we have glasses, openers, and a guest refrigerator.
Using the Inn We provide the inn as a “blank canvas”—you bring or order your own decorations. We can provide the names and numbers of florists and the local bakery. You may not cut flowers from our gardens for decorations or remove pictures from the walls. You are responsible for receiving delivered items. We suggest having items delivered on day of the event since guest refrigeration is limited. Any indoor or outdoor furniture that you move must be replaced before check-out. We can also provide the names and numbers of ministers in the area.
Children If any children require special furniture such as playpens or high chairs, please have the parents bring what they need since we do not have those things here. Also, the inn is primarily for adults so it is not “child-proof”; adults must closely supervise young children. The renter is responsible for damages.
