The "Trout Fishing" Room — Rods and Creels is a ground floor room with a queen bed and sitting area. Windows offer good views of Deep Creek Valley and the mountains beyond. A Celeste fireplace enhances the room with the charm and ambiance of a gently flickering fire. Like all the ground floor rooms, Rods and Creels offers the olde world charm of low, pressed-tin ceilings and flagstone floors. The room is decorated with a collection of old-fashioned trout fishing paraphernalia, inspired by the great fishing in Deep Creek, the Nantahala River and other streams throughout the area.

Lodging includes private bath with old-fashioned clawfoot tub with shower. Hair dryer and herbal soap, shampoo, and bubble bath. Central air conditioning, with independent controls. Comfy robes, a CD player, and a copy of “Day Hikes of the Smokies” to enjoy while you are staying with us. So that all guests can experience the rest and relaxation they came for, we do not have televisions at the Inn. BE ADVISED: Ceiling height is 6' 9". Taller persons will be challenged on this level of the Inn.

Long holidays weekends require a three night minimum stay; weekends between May 1 and November 1 require a two night minimum stay. Shorter stays may become available, however, so please don't hesitate to call when you have a spur-of-the-moment urge to escape to the mountains. Also, the minimum stay requirement is removed one day before the calendar date.
